Ella T. Newman is an Image Consultant with her own firm Ella In Style. Pursuing her life-long passion for fashion, Ella transitioned from a 30-year career of counseling clients on financial affairs to helping them develop their personal style. Advising people on how to get from where they are to where they want to be is the cornerstone of her business.

Ella combines her personal look with a keen insight and understanding of fashion to guide others on making that all-important first impression. Working with organizations to help their employees achieve a professional appearance, she also enables individuals to understand how to use fashion to highlight their best features to present themselves in a goal achieving light.

Beginning with a thorough analysis of her clients’ physical appearance, lifestyle, budget, and existing wardrobe, Ella conducts on-site closet reviews and edits to determine the items that are working for them and the additions they need to make. She then preshops or assists with shopping within their budget to ensure they choose the right pieces for the persona they seek to project. She represents various designers and is a stylist and agency leader for the Doncaster Collection, known for quality, sophisticated women’s apparel.

Ella’s non-profit and corporate background includes senior leadership positions at various financial and non-profit organizations.  She also founded and managed an executive recruiting firm.  Ella is currently on the board of the Tri-State Chapter of AICI (Association of Image Consultants International), and has held volunteer positions at the Advisory Council of Appraisers Association of America, Inc., the National Advisory Board for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, the Financial Women’s Association, and the Estate Planning Council of New York.  She continues to be active in a number of women’s organizations.

Ella often is invited to educate women on image, self-confidence, financial and other issues through speaking engagements. She created the Inner Circle Salon, a forum for women to exchange ideas on a variety of topics.

Ella earned a B.A. degree in Economics from The City College of New York, and an M.B.A. degree in Finance from Baruch College. She also has a Certificate from Fashion Institute of Technology in Image Consulting.
